LOUIS PARK, MINNESOTA November 13, 1989 1) Call to Order The meeting was called to order by Mayor Lyle Hanks at 7 p.m. 2) Roll Call The following Councilmembers were present at roll call: Bruce Battaglia Keith Meland Thanas Duffy Larry Mitchell S. Allen Friedman Lyle W. Hanks Also present were the City Manager and City Clerk. 3) Canvass of Election; It was moved by Councilmember Meland, Resolution No. 89-179 Seconded by Councilmember Duffy, to waive reading and adopt Resolution No. 89-179 entitled, "A resolution canvassing election returns of St. Louis Park General Election held November 7, 1989." The motion passed 6-0. 4) Oath of Office for New Following discussion, it was moved by Councilmembers Councilmember Meland, seconded by Councilmember Battaglia, that the City Clerk shall administer the oath of office to the newly elected/reelected Councilmembers at the December 4 meeting following roll call. The motion passed 6-0. 5) Adjournment The meeting was adjourned at 7:05 p.m. I h4flizA Mai/ Attest City erk MINUTES LONG-RANGE PLANNING SESSION ST. LOUIS PARK CITY COUNCIL November 13, 1989 1 . Call to order Mayor Lyle Hanks called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. 2. Roll call The following Councilmembers were present at roll call : Bruce Battaglia, Allen Friedman, Tom Duffy, Keith Meland, Larry Mitchell and Lyle Hanks. *Stephens Buick polling place The Council considered the possibility of relocating the Win Stephens polling place. After discussion, it was decided to retain Stephens Buick as a polling place and reconsider its relocation after the 1990 census is gathered and redistricting is considered. 4t Sale of land: Vernon/T.H. 12 The Council directed staff to place this item on the November 20, 1989 agenda. 5. Status of 1988 Planning Dept. study Council discussed the status of the 20 recommendations by the consultant. It was noted that 15 of the 20 recommendations had been implemented. 6. Status of Comprehensive Plan The Director of Community Development briefed the Council on progress being made regarding the update to the Comprehensive Plan. The Council provided direction on two items that the Director highlighted. 7. Adjournment The meeting adjourned at 9:05 p.m. Jr / I / / ecording Secretary
