CALL TO ORDER The City Board of Equalization of the assessment district of St. Louis Park reconvened at 7:15 p.m., Monday, June 17, 1985. 2. ROLL CALL The following Board members were present: Ronald Backes Jerrold Martin Lyle Hanks Keith Meland Richard Strohl It was moved by Councilman Meland and seconded by Councilman Martin to approve the minutes of June 10, 1985. The motion passed 5-0. 3. CHAIRMAN Chairman Hanks proceeded to open the hearing with the statement that the function of the Board was limited to the determination of the market value of the properties being appealed as of January 20 1985, Minnesota's date of assessment. He cited that the Board has no authority governing taxes payable this year or next year, in which the valuations serve as a tax base for several other governments that levy upon that base. Upon the closing of his address, the case hearings commenced. 4. CASES Chairman Hanks gave a synopsis of the Board's final review process and procedures involving the various property owners that had appealed to the Board. After due consideration and deliberation in each case, the following actions were taken by the Board relative to the 1985 appealed assessments: Case No. 1 Owner: Steve Bedd or Location: 3320 Louisiana Ave. So., #414 Property I.D. No. 07-028-24 33 0035 It was moved by Councilman Martin, seconded by Councilman Meland, to reduce the 1985 assessment value from $81,200 to $80,500. The motion passed 4-0. 4.
