In answer to a question fror� Councilr�an Ralles, r1r. Casserly said the other lot was not buildable. tle said he preferred to work with lot 5 rather than 4 and 5 combined. Councilr�an Hanks said th�t based on the Board of Zoning Appeals opinion, in order for variances to be allowed, the lots would have to be co�bined. It was moved by Councilman Ralles, seconded by Councilr�an��leland, to waive readin�7 and adopt Resolution ��o. 6921 entitled, "A resolution granting var- iance in rear yard setback f rom Section 14-12II(5) of the Ordinance Code relatincl to zoning to permit an addition to an existing house in the R-1, Single Far�ily District, at 2108 Parklands Road." The motion passed 6-0. Variance request: Lidfors Quentin Ave. So. as described Request of Arnold and Marion Lidfors a variance to permit construction of addition on property located at 2801 i n Noti ce of Heari nc� publ i shed Auqust 5, for an 1981. �tayor �1cQuaid explained that Mr. Lidfors had not appeared before the Board of Zoning Apneals because the front door of City Nall,ti•ras locked and he was not aware he could enter on the lower level. P1r. Lidfors said they were requesting the addition to accor�nodate their grow- in� family of grandchildren. He said he was not aware of any neighbors who objected to their request and that several had offered to speak in support of their proposed construction. ��layor McQuaid cor�mented that P1rs. Lidfors had said the porch could be nlaced on the other side of the house to which Mr. Lidfors said that was true but ihat in order to get �to the porch, one would have to go through the kitchen and a den. � Jerry Aberman, 2804� Quentin Ave. So., and Terry Dorn, 2817 Quentin, both neihhbors of P1r.
