Councilman Elstrom asked if .there would be enough time between receipt
of the bids on Ju1y 16 and the Council meeti.ng on the 20th for the
residents to be notified. �
The Mayor replied that optimi�stically, there would be enough time.

Bill Buc1d, 470� W. 2IIth Street, reviewed the history of the paving
pr�ject stating that historically the roadway was to remain in a preserved
state and that hF was shocked to learn of the paving pl�an. He said he
was told the trucks needing access to Mr. Berland's home under con-
struction needed a' better road and it was his opinion the constr�action
site waS being adequately served hy the existing road. He said he saw
no reason for.• th� �roject and that the neighbors along the street main-

sale of obscene materials to minors and finally, that enforceability
df ordinances in this regard is a very real problem in terms of
