Ne stated several neiqhborhood meetings had been held to explain the revised plan,.and at a recent meetinq only six people attencied. He said it is Bor-Son's'feelinq there is a real need for this ty�e of housing for older citizens. At an�ther time, 300 notices were sent�ot�t and �niy three .people attended, at which time he said he spent an hour discussing the �lan. He. called upon the architect for.the project who showed a scher�a�ic of the proposed development. Nanks Councilman /asked�if youno people could buy into the project, which was a concern expressed to him hy some of the neiqhbors. In response Wlr. Jacobsen said his company naturally could not give guarantees, but �hat i t �ii �i gi ve Cotinci 1 i ts comr�i tment that marketi nq efforts woul d be str�nc�ly directed to seniors. She said there has been a cons.tant battle on the part of area residents to keep hic�h density out of this neighborhood even so far as c�oinq to court.
