ROLL CALL The following Councilmen were present: Lyle Hanks Ronald Backes Jerrold Martin John Ralles Martha Elstrom Also present were the City Assessor, Staff Appraiser and John Elwell, City Manager. Mr. Blount stated he had a realtor appraise the property at $12,000 ten months before the assessment. He felt an estimated market value of 524�200 is too high. Mr. and Mrs Purcell stated that their house may be worth the assessment value, but comparable houses in the neighborhood were valued less than theirs. They distributed material which indicated homes wnich recently sold, had assessment values far below their selling prices. He feels because of this his property is overvalued and wanted the Board to check comparable duplexes in the neighborhood for equalization. Mr. Grohoski stated that Lot 13 should be treated seperately from the others because as it presently stands it is an unbuildable lot under the zoning ordinance. He stated he purchased the lot for $4,000 in April, 1978.
