Assessment, Improvement No. 72-33, sidewalk, north
side of Cedar Lake Road from Georgia Avenue to
Zarthan Avenue (assessment hearing conducted
September 25, 1978).
The City Manager explained that on September 25, 1978, the City Council adopted
an assessment of $1.80 per front foot against the properties on both sides of
Cedar Lake Road. He said additional information has been obtained relative
to Council action during the improvement hearing providing that a maximum of
$1.80 would be assessed only to the property awners on the north side o Cedar
Lake Road.
The City Attorney explained that to reduce the amount o an assessment would
not require an additional public hearing.
It was moved by Councilman Meland, seconded by Counc ilman Hanks, to cancel the
assessment to property owners on the south side of Cedar Lake Road, Project
No. 72-33, and inform the property owners of the Council's ation by letter.
The motion passed 6-0.
Mayor Stern requested that the letter, on behal of the Mayor and Council,
