LOUIS PARK, MINNESOTA SEPTEMBER 22, 1975 A regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Fleetham at 8:00 P.M. None. Communication from HRA relative to intersection of Cedar Lake Road and Nevada Avenue. There was no action taken on this item. Communication from Y. A. Korsunsky requesting study to amend Zoning Ordinance relative to senior citizen apartments. It was moved by Councilman Meland, seconded by Councilman Graves, to refer this item to the Planning Commission. The motion passed 6-0. 7(d) Home Rule Charter Amendment Ballot Election 11-4-75 Request of Charter Commission to place amendment to Home Rule Charter on ballot of general election November 4, 1975. Councilman Graves suggested that a four-week period between the primary and general election would not provide a sufficient amount of time should a recount for the primary be required. He suggested shortening the period of time between elections to six weeks. The City's primary election Would then be held the same day as the Minneapolis primary. Following discussion, it was moved by Councilman Gravesseconded by Council , Druskin, to communicate this recommendation to the CharterCommission• The motion passed 4-2. It was moved by Councilman -Graves, seconded by Councilman Griak, to authorize improvement to the three parks, as recommended in the report and to have staff' continue with study and to work with residents in the area.
