LOUIS PA12�K ' MINNESOTA1975 March 17 , The meeting was called to order by Mayor Fleetham at 7 : 30 P • m • The following Councilmen were present : Richard Graves Lyle Hanks Rose -Mary Griak Keith Meland Leonard Thiel Frank Fleetham e Cit Manager , City Clerk , City Attorney , Police Captain , Also present were th Y and Acting Secretary . Mayor Fleetham opened the hearing . 5 , 1, 975 the City of St . Louis Park The City Attorney explained that on. Fe bruarydba Miracle Mile Liquors , filed a complaint against Harold L . Aretz , Ordinance Code regarding 5005 Excelsior Boulevard , for violations of the City iownership and falsif icatiaa of a liquor license multiple liquor license application . He further noted that the court dismissed the charge involving the falsification and that the defendant , Mr . Aretz , plead guilty to the charge involving multiple liquor license ownership . A enalt P y for the violation regarding the multiple license ownership was held in abeyance for one year pending any further misdemeanor violations . He noted that the notice of hearing was properly served . Mr . Ronald Haskavitz , representing Mr . Aretz , stated that he believed this was a technical violation of the law that did not justify a revocation or lengthy suspension of the Aretz license . He reviewed the circumstances under which Mr . Aretz acquired stock in Bunny ' s Liquors , Inc . and noted that his client has divested himself of four shares of stock in Bunny ' s and now owns less than ten percent of the stock in that business , He further noted that Miracle Mile Liquors has been operating approximately sixteen years with only one minor violation occurring during the first year 6f operation . Mr . Harold Aretz was sworn in by the City Clerk . In response to a question from Mayor Fleetham , Mr . Aretz stated that he currently owns eight shares of stock in Bunny ' s Liquors , Inc . The Council recessed for approximately ten minutes . When the Council reconvened , it was moved by Councilman Graves , seconded by Councilman Thiel , that the off - sale liquor license of Harold L . Aretz , dba Miracle Mile Liquors , be suspended April 14 and 15 , 1975 and that the premises be closed during that period . The motion passed 6 - 0 .
