Councilman Hanks seconded r na Avenue Councilman Heltzer mo ed to remove the resolution auth rizing the purchase of property for the treet right-of-way of Louisiana Av nue from the table. Councilman Hanks s onded the motion. The motion passed 6 - 0. LOUIS PARK, MINNESOTA December 17, 1973 Upon the call of theCity Council the meeting was reconvened at 9:40 p.m. by President pro -tem Leonard Thiel. The following Councilmen wereP resent. Rose -Mary Griak James Heltzer Richard Graves Frank Fleetham Lyle Hanks Leonard Thiel President pro -tem Thiel opened the meeting No. 72-43, Oak Park Village Storm Sewer, sgdescribedrinfthe enotice rview oof Improvement published November 29 and December 6 1973. He noted that at the public hearing held earlier in the evening only one person appeared to speak. This citizen stated he was not in opposition to the project, but only wanted to ask a question on how much he would be assessed for the storm sewer installation. President pro -tem Thiel noted that all of the residents in this particular improvement area were notified of the public hearing and of an informational meeting that was held at 9:30 a.m, on Saturday, December 15, 1973 in the Council Chambers. Only four people attended this informational meeting. Councilman Graves moved to reconsider Improvement No. 72-43, Oak Park Village Storm Sewer, previously deferred until January 7, 1974. Councilman Hanks seconded the motion. The motion carried 6 - 0. RESOLUTION N0, 4977 Councilman Heltzer then moved to waive reading and adopt Resolution No. 4977 entitled, "Resolution Ordering Improvement, ordering preparation of plans, and authorizing ad for bids, Improvement No. 72-43". Councilman Hanks seconded the motion. The motion carried 6 - 0. h Property for Street Right -of -Way - M Councilman Heltzer moved to remove the resolution authorizing the purchase of property for the street right-of-way of Louisiana Avenue from the table. Councilman Hanks seconded the motion. The motion passed 6 - 0. RESOLUTION NO. 4978 Councilman Heltzer moved to waive reading and adopt Resolution No. 4978 entitled, "Resolution authorizing purchase of property for street right-of-way" to purchase Parcel 1 described as Northeasterly twenty feet of Tract A, Registered Land Survey 829, Councilman Griak seconded the motion. The motion carried 6 - 0. 346 Council Minutes, December 17, 1973 Councilmn Fleetham stated that he could not vote in favor of the of Parcel 2, the property located at 3120 Louisiana Avenue until that all of the a ffected property owners on Louisiana Avenue and east side of Maryland Avenue abutting the proposed land acquisiti aware of the City's plans f purcbs se he felt the were or Louisiana Avenue. Councilman Heltzer suggested that a meeting be set for Saturday,Januar 5 1974 to discuss the City's plans for Louisiana Avenue and tt notices be sent.
