CALL TO ORDER A. special meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Pucci at 5:55 p.m. for the purpose of acting on the proposed 1973 Cit Sud et and passage of the appropriate tax levies. 8 2, ROLL CALL The following Councilmen were present at roll call; Frank Fleetham Richard Graves Rose -Mary Griak Lyle Hanks Leonard Thiel Frank Pucci Councilman Heltzer arrived at 6:00 p.m. 3o COMPREHENSIVE PLAN COIvMITTEE - QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS DRAFT The City Manager distributed copies of the final draft • Comprehensive Plan Review Committee - Questions and Answers to the Council and requested review, The Committee wants to send this information to the residents in the area and perhaps publish it for community -wide information. The Manager requested that Council members carefully review the answers to the questions submitted to ensure they are accurate and reflect the thinking and policy of the Council. The Council was requested to reply on or before Thursday, October 12, 19721 if it differed in the opinions pA information contained in the draft before it was distributed publicly. Council Minutes, October 10, 1972 5, SECOND READING OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1973 AND AMENDING THE 1972 BUDGET AS ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE 1168 AND AMENDED BY ORDINANCES 1175, 11869 AND 1194 ORDINANCE NO. 1200 It was moved by Councilman Graves, seconded by Councilman Hanks, to waive second reading and adopt Ordinance No. 1200 entitled, "An Ordinance Adopting the Budget for the Fiscal Year 1973 and Amending the 1972 Budget as Adopted by Ordinance 1168 and Amended by Ordinance 1175, 1186 and 1194. " The motion carried unanimously. 6. RESOLUTION APPROVING 1972 TAX LEVY, C OLLECTIBLE IN 1973 RESOLUTION NO. 4653 It was moved by Councilman Hanks, seconded by Councilman Graves, to readopt Resolution No. 4653 entitled, "Resolution Approving 1972 Tax Levy, Collectible in 1973. " The motion carried unanimously. Councilman Fleetham requested the following statement be entered in the record: that he considered tax levy to be excessive inasmuch as the City is to receive funds from the Federal Revenue Sharing law, and these funds should be reflected in the tax levy. 7. NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES CONFERENCE Mayor Pucci requested authorization to attend the National League of Cities Conventions with Councilman Graves. It was moved by Councilman Thiel, seconded by Councilman Hanks, that authorization be granted. The motion carried 5 - 2, Councilmen Fleetham and Griak voting nay. 8. ADJOURNMENT On motion by Councilman Thiel, seconded by Councilman Graves. the meeting was adjourned at 6:30 p. rnft,.by a seven Sea vote. Attest: Earl on, Acting Secretary 323 Frank J. Pucci, Mayor
