LOUIS PA.RK, MINNESOTA September 28, 1966 The me eting was called to order by Mayor Kenne�h Wolfe at 4:10 p. m. to discus s the budget. The following Councilmen were present: Frank Howard . Richard Koch Leonard Thiel Kenneth Wolfe Councilman Pearson arrived at 4:45 p. m. , Councilman Heltzer at 4:55 p. m. , and Councilman Reynolds at 5:45 p. m. Also present were the City Manager, Direetor of Finance, Accountant, Assist- ant to the City Manager, and Secretary. The budget for the Recreation Department was discussed and it was suggested that the City Manager collect data concerning salaries for Park and Recreation Departments of other communities, and also fees charged for adult baseball leagues. It was moved by Councilman Pearson, seconded by Councilman Heltzer, to approve the budge* for recreation with the provision that staff review charges for recreational activities and return their findings to the Council prior to February 1, 1967. Motion passed by a vote of five yeas and one nay. Council- man Reynolds was not presente Councilman Koch voted nay. Councilman Reynolds arrived at the meeting. It was moved by Councilman Pearson, seconded by Councilman Reynolds, to increase the General Fund under Transfers to Other Funds under State .Aid Street Maintenance from $45, 000 to $50, 000. Motion passed by a seven yea vote. A motion was rriade by Councilman Pearson, seconded by Counci.lman Koch, to designate $8, 500 for Cedar Manor Park from the $35, 000 previously allocated under Capital Outlay for Municipal Parks,and leave the remainder unallocated. Motion passed by a seven yea vote. Councilman Howard left the meeting. A motion was made by Councilman Pearson, seconded by Councilman Heltzer, to direct the City Attorney to prepare a contract for signature by IViinnetonka Village by November 1: 1966 with regard to joint participation for the north- west park. Motion passed by a vote of six yea:� Council Minutes - S�ptember 28, 1966 A motion was made by Councilman Pearson, s�conded by Councilman Koch, to delete the one ton servic� truck under Capital Outlay for Equipment Main- tenance Shop, in tlze amount of $4, 500. Motion passed by a vote of four yeas and two nays, Counci�men i��ynolds and Wolf� voting nay, It was moved by Councilman Pearson, second�d by Councilman Koch, to d�lete two file cabin�ts under Capital Qutlay, Equipmcnt Maint�nance Shop, in the amount of $200. Motion lost. Councilman �-loward returned at ?:00 p. m. Ivlayor �Volfe left the meeting at ?:15 p, m. Councilman Thiel chaired the meeting. It was moved by Councilman �ieltzer, seconded b�y Councilman Koch, to increase the amount to be transferred to the General Fund under Transfers to Othcr Funds from $15, 500 to $20, 500. Motion passed by a six yea vote. The Council will me�t at 7:00 p. m. , 4ctob�r 3, 1966 to discuss the budget further.
