LOUIS PARK, MINNESOTA September 13, 19b6 fihe meeting was called to order by Ivlayor Kenneth tiVolfe at 4:20 p. m. The following Councilmen were present: Jamee He�tzer Frank Howard Richard Koch Robert l�eynolda Leonard Thiel Kenneth Vilolfe A�so present were the City Manager, Director of Finance, Assistant to the City Manager, Accountant� and Secretary, Councilman Pearson arrived at 4:4Z p. m. It was moved by Councilman Howard, seconded by Councilman Koch, to de2ete the �arnera under Capital Uutlay, Traffic Signs, Signals, and Markings. Motion passed by a seven yea vote. It was moved by Councilman Pearson, seconded by Councilman Thiel, to elim- inate the aerial service bucket and truck chassis in the amount of $14, Q00 under Capital Outlay, Traffic Signs, Signals, and Markings. Motion passed by a vote of four yeas and three nays, Council,men Koch, i3eltzer, and Reynolds, voting nay. A motion was made by Councilman Heltzer, seconded by Councilman Koch, to increase salaries of regul.ar employees under Tree Maintenance to $10, 000. The motion was withdrawn with the request thz City Manager outline need� for tree maintenance for the next budget meeting. It was moved by Counci.lman Reynolda, seconded by Councilman Heltzer, to increase the emergency appropriation under Unallocated General Expeuse to $90, 000. Motion lost by a vote of three yeas and four nays, Counci.�men Koch, Heltzer, and Reynolds voting yea. A motion was made by Councilman Howard, seconded by Councilman Reynolds, to approve the appointment by the Mayor of A. R. Vernes to the Police Civi3. Service Commission for the term ending �ctob�r 1, 1967. Motion passed by a vote of five yeas and one nay, Councilman Heltzer voting nay. Gounciaman Thiel wae not present. 18? Council Minutes - September i3, 1966 A motion was made by Councilman Howard, secQnded by Councilman Reynolds, to approve the appointment by the Mayor of �obert A. Boeder to the Police Civil Service Cornmission for the term ending October 1, 1968. Motion passed by a six yea vote. Councilman Thiel was not present. It was-moved by Councilman �-ieltzer, seconded by Councilman Reynolds, to hold the next budget me�ting at 5:00 p, m, , September 19, 1966. Motion passed by a seven yea vote.
