A regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor
Kenneth �Tolfe at 8:05 p. m.

the minutes of the regular meeting heJ.d April �, 1966 were approved

discuss his objections to the parking on iviaryland Avenue
and the nuisance created by the business on the corner of
Maryland Avenue and 1vlinnetonka Boulevard.

Reynolds, to waive reading and adopt Resolution No. 3037, as
amended, entitled "Resolution Authorizing Placement of Traffic
Control Signs Regulating Parking. " Motion passed by a six
yea vote.

It was moved by Councilman Pearson, seconded by Councilman
Koch, to accept the proposal submitted by Niidwest Planning for
$2, 600 for Part I. Niotion carried 4- 2, Councilmen Heltzer and
Thiel voting nay.
It was moved by Coun.cilman R eynolds, seconded by Councilman
Koch, to amend the motion to include Part II of the Midwest
Planning proposal for a total of $6, 400. 1Viotion carried 4- 2,
Councilmen Pearson and Thiel voting nay.

It was moved by Councilman Pearson, seconded by Councilman

staff to provide the council with a map of the area showing the
edge of Birchwood Park. Niotion passed with a six yea vote.

HELD APRIL 13, 1966.
Cn hearing no objections the Mayor ordered the minutes received
for filing.
It was moved by Councilma.n Heltzer, seconded by Councilman
R eynolds, to direct staff to investigate whether there is land for
sale and the cost per acre in Neighborhood 14. Motion carried
by a six yea vote.
(h) R EPGR T C�NCER NING CR P AND CODE ENFOR CEMENT ACT
(N. & C. NO� 66-1?) - By CITY NtANAGER.
It was moved by Councilman Pearson, seconded by Councilman
Thiel, that the report be tabled. The motion failed 3- 2,
Councilman R eynolds abstaining. Councilman Reynolds moved
to refer the matter to a joint meeting of the Council and
Planning Commission. This motion failed for lack of a second.
Councilman Heltzer moved to direct the staff to make application
for a recertification of our workable program. IVlotion was
seconded by Councilman Koch and passed by a 5- 1 vote,
Councilman Pearson voting nay.

yea vote. Hearing will be held on ivlay 23, 1966.
