Koch, that the City Manager request a continuance of the hear-
ing for two months to provide for exploration of proposals in
more detail. Motion passed by a four yea vote.

(b) T�tANSFE� OF P�OPERTY�
The City Manager reported on a request to transfer city-owned
property south of Lake Street to Ivi. L. Gordon in exchange for
property they own. It was moved by Councilman Thiel, seconded
by Councilman �-ieltzer, that staff submit a written report with
diagrams relative to this property exchange. Motion passed by
a four yea vote.

11. MISCE LLA.NEOUS
(a) PAYMENT OF A.SSESSMENTS.
Councilman Koch suggested that a paragraph be included in all
assessment notices to the effect that the owner may pay the
enti r e a� s e s smen� �vithout inte re st within thirty days of the
adoption of thz asse�sment roll by Council, and may also pay
any remaining unpaid assessments with interest accrued to
December 31, of the year in which payment is made. Staff will
see that thi�s is done.

(a) VEI�IFIED CLAIMS.
Qn motion of Councilman �ieltzer, seconded by Councilman Thiel,
the lists of verified claims prePared by the Director of Finance
and presented to the Council dated llecember 5, 1966 in the
total amounts of $2, 4?0. 11 for payroll, and �27, 691. 21 for ven-
dors were a�proved, and the City Manager, City Clerk, and
City Treasurer were authorized to issue checks covering same
by a four yea vote,
