ROLL CALL given by Rev. Hulverson, retired, of the First Lutheran The following Councilmen were present at roll call: Robert Ehrenberg James Heltzer Frank Howard Curtis Pearson Robert Rey�nolds Leonard Thiel Kenneth Wolfe Also present were the City Manager, Planning Director, Director of Pub�ic Viiorks, and the Secretary. MINUTES On motion of Councilman Howard, seconded by Councilman Thiel, the minutes of the regular meeting held August 2, 1965 were approved as amended by a seven yea vote by recording Councilman Ehrenberg as voting nay on the motion to refer the boat and trailer parking ordinance under item 8a to staff for further studv. Mr. N. J. Trugman, 23Z3 France Avenue, was present. The Director of Public W orkg explained the project. Because of Mr. Trugman's concern over the cost of the project. the City Manager suggested that bids be taken and if the cost is too high the Council cotild reject them. Mr. Robert Gove was present representing the subdivider. The staff recommended deferment of the plat until engineering plans are received. Mayor Wolfe declared the hearing closed. A motion wae made by Councilman Howard, seconded by Councilman Pearson, to defer the matter until August 30, 1965. Motion passed by a seven yea vote. It was moved by Councilman Ehrenberg, seconded by Councilman Howard, that the item regarding vacation of alleys and street in the area of Monterey, Natchez and Z?th Street be taken from the table and placecl on the agenda for A.ugust 30, 1965. " Motion passed by a vote of five yeas and two nays. Councilmen Reynolds and Heltzer voted nay. The City Manager explained the location of the parcel in question. A motion was made by Councilman Pearson, aeconded by Council- man Howard, to reconsider the above motion. Motion passed by a seven yea vote. A motion was made by Councilman Heltzer, seconded by Council- man Thiel, to accept deed for utility easement and authorize the City Clerk to file same for record. Motion passed by a seven yea vote. 2. Storm aewer easement #rom St. Paul Terminal Warehouse Companv dated August 2, 1965 for part of Tract B, Registered Land Survey No. 829. A motion wae made by Councilman Heltzer, seconded bv Councilman Thiel, to accept deed for storm sewer easement, authorize the Mavor and Citv Manager to execute on behalf of the City, and authorize the CitV Clerk to file same for record when properlv executed b�r the grantors. Councilrrian Pearson reported that a preliminary report on the Bassett Creek District has been made b�r the Corp of Army Engineers. He further reported on discussion concerning the formation of a watershed district including St. Louis Park.
