ST. LOUIS PARK, MI NNESOTA
June 1, 1965
A. special meeting of the City Council was called to order by President
Pro Tem Leonard Thiel at 5:11 p. rn.
The following Councilmen were present at roll call:

Leonard Thiel
Also present were the City Manager, Cit y Attorney, Police Chief, Officers
Richard 1Vletro and George Bullock, and the Secretary.
The City A.ttorney gave a summary of the situation and explained that the
meeting was called as a hearing on revocation or suspension of on and off
sale liquor Iicenses at Reiss' Inc. , 6910 West Lake Street, due to a recent
conviction of selling liquor to a minor.
Richard Reiss was present . as spokesman for Reiss' Inc. Roman Joseph
Evans, clerk at Reiss' was also present.
After questioning of Mr. Reiss and Mr. Evans by the Council, and hearing
additional information given by Police Chief Sorenson and Officer Bullock,
a motion was made by Councilman Pearson, seconded by Councilman Howard,
that the off sa�e liquor license of Reiss' Inc. be suspended cor�nmencing June
Z through June 15, a total of twelve business days. Motion passed by a four
yea vote. Councilmen Ehrenberg, a.nd Reynqlds, and.Mayor Wolfe werc not
present.
A discussion was held on dealors requesting identification when there is
any doubt concerning age of purchaser of liquor.
On motion of Councilman Heltzer, seconded by Councilman Howard, the
meeting was adjourned at 5:58 p. m. , by a four yea vote.
