RES OLUTION NO. 2740 It was moved by Councilman Heltzer, seconded by Councilman Ehrenberg, to waive reading and adopt R.esolution No. Z740 entitled "Resolution Extending Expiration Date by Ninety Days Under Section 6:205. 5 of ihe Zoning Ordinance for Special Per- mit, Jewish Community Center, Resol ution No. Z521, January Z7, 1964. (dj COMMUNICATION FROM THE LEAGUE OF MINNESOTA MUNICIPALITIES REQ UES TING C OUNCIL AC TI �N ON RES O- LUTION ON WITHDRAWAL OF STATE FROM PROPERTY TAX FiELD A1�ID RESOLUTION ON NEW SOURCES OF REVENUE FOR MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT. It was moved by Councilman Ehrenberg that the City Council support both of the above mentioned resolutions. Motion failed for lack of a second. It was moved by Councilman Heltzer, seconded by Councilman Ehrenberg, that our State Senator and State Representative be invited to attend a future council meeting to discuss tax reforms. Motion passed by a six yea vote. (e) APPLICATIONS FOR RENEWAL OF LICENSES TO SELL NON- INTOXICATING MALT LIQUOR ON SALE AND OFF SALE. It was moved by Councilman Reynolds, seconded by Councilman Thiel, that the following list of license applications be approved to sell non intoxicating malt liquor on and off sale. " Motion passed by a six yea vote. 8. REPORTS OF OFFICERS, BOARDS AND COMMITTEES (a) REPORT OF EMPLOYEE PROMOTION - BY THE CITY MANAGE R . It was moved by Councilman Heltzer, seconded by Councilman Thiel, to concur with the promotion of Elsie Dahlstrom to Clerk III, Range GC 9, Step C, effective January 4, 1965. It was moved by Councilman Reynolds, seconded by Councilman Howard, to designate Sinclair Refining Company as the lowest responsible bidder for regular and prernium gasoline in the amount of $. 1712 and $. 1912 per gallon respectively, and to designate American Oil Company as the lowest responsible bidder for diesel fuel in the amount of $. 1039 per gallon, and to authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute the nec- essary contracts. Motion passed by a six yea vote. (b) PRESENTATION OF AMERICAN AUTOMOBILE ASSOCIATION PEDESTRIAN AWARD. � Mir. L. M. Schaoley, field representative of the Minnesota Safety Council �#resented to Police Chief, Clyde Sorensen, the American Automobile Association Pedestrian Safety Citation for I963. Police Chief Sorensen accepted the award on behalf. of the City. �c) DISCUSSION OF SANITARY SEWER ON OLD WAYZATA BOULEVARD (REQUESTED BY ROGER ULSTAD, GOLDEN VALLE Y). It was moved by Councilman Howard, s econded by Councilman Reynolds, that the matter be referred ta the staff for a report. Motion passed by a six yea vote. 11. MIS C E L LA. A motion was made by Couricilman Thiel, seconded by Councii- man Reynolds, to refer the claims to the Law Department for advice and recommendation. Motion passed by a six yea vote. 1"L.
