RES OLUTION A.U�.�,�TORIZ ING PROCEE DINGS BE FORE
THE I�AILRC.F�.D AND WAREH�USE COMIv�ISSION
ViiHEREAS, the Great Northern R,ail.way Company haB demolished
the Cedar Lake Road bridge across its tracks, without permission from
the proper authorities, thereby disruptin� traffic in the City of St. Louis
Park, Minnesota to the great inconvenience of the public and in contraven-
tion of the public needs, and
WHEREAS, the County Commissioners have indicated that the
bridge on County Road ].6 was removed without their permiseion, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Coun.cil of the City of St, Louis Park
that the City Manager, the City Attoraey, and other officiale of the City be
hereby authorized and directed to immediately file a petition with the Rail-
road and Warehouse Coxnmission of the State of �innesota for the restora-
tion of a legal bridge at the site of the bridge recenily removed by the Great
Northern Railway Cornpany, which bridge formed a part of Cedar Lake Road
also known ae County Road 16, in St. Louis �ark, 1�/�innesota, at the cost of
the said Great Northern p.ailway Company� such action to be on behalf of
tlze City of St. Louis Park or joint2y with the County of Hennepin, if this is
feasible.
Adopted by the City Council April 27, 1964.
