1. CALL TO ORDER
A regular meeting of the City Council was called Lo order by
Mayor Kenneth VJolfe ai g;p4 p. m�
2. INVOCATION
Invocation was given by Reverend Allen ��,'hitman of the St. Georges
Episcopal Church.
3. ROLL CALL
The following Councilmen we re p re s ent at roll call:

Also present were the City Manager, City Attorney, Planning

Councilman Robert Reynolds arrived at 8:09 p. m.
4. MINUTES
On motion of Councilman Howard, seconded by Councilman
Heltzer, the minutes of the regular meeting held February 3, 1964,
were approved by a six yea vote. Councilman Reynolds was not. present.

Mayor Wolfe opened the hearing on tihis matter. Mayor �%Jolfe
declared the hearing closed.
It was moved by Councilman Ehrenberg, seconded by Councilnlan
Thiel to waive first reading of proposed ordinance and to set date
fox second readi.ng on February 2a, 196�. Motion was passed by
a six yea vote. �ouncilman Howard was out of the room when
the vote was taken.

It was moved by Councilman Pearson, seconded by Councilman
Howard to reconsider the motion �o table the above matter.
Motion passed by a six yea vote. Councilman Reynolds voted nay.
It was moved by Councilman Heltzer, seconded by Councilman
Pearson to defer the above matter to the week of September 1,
1964. Motion passed by a seven yea vote.

Attorney as set forth in Opinion No. 164, dated February 5, 1964,
and to authorize payment to Vincent Johnson and his wife the sum
af $27, 000 by payment of the balance of $12, 000 remaining unpaid

Howard, to cancel the Council meeting scheduled for February 17,

On motion of Councilman Reynolds, seconded by Councilman
Howard, the above payments on contract work presented by the
City Engineer were approved, and xhe City Manager, City Clerk
and City Treasurer were authorized to issue checks for their
respective amounts by a seven yea vote.
4. Final Payment. Backstops and standard playground equip-
ment for Bronx, Terry, Edgewood, Fern Hill W`estda2e and South
V4Testwood Hills parks, Contractor, Crowiey Fence Co.Inc.
Amount, $1, 243 . 80.
RESOLUTION N4. 2529
It was moved by Councilman Howard, seconded by Councilman
Reynolds, to waive reading and adopt Resolution No. 25Z9 entitled
"Resolution Accepting Work in Bronx, Terry, South Westwood
Hills, Edgewood, �ern Hill and �: Testdale Parks for Backstops and
Playground Equipment, " Motion passed by a seven yea vote.
