LOUiS PARK, MINNESOTA November 23� 1964 A special meeting was called to order by Mayor Kenneth Wolfe at 4:40 p. na. The following Councilmenwere present at roll call: Robert Ehrenberg Frank Howard Jar�nes Heltzer Robert Reynolds Leonard Thiel Kenaeth Wolfe Also present were the City Manager, City Attorney, Police Chief, Officer Robert Linnell, aad the Secretary. Mayor Wolfe explained that thia meeting wae called as a hearing on rcvocation or suepension of oa sale aaad off sale liquor licenaes at Al� s Liquor 5tore, 3812 Excelsior Boulevard, due to a recent convictioa of selling liquor to a minor. Mr. H. H. Burry gave information concerning the conviction of the miaor. Paul Haugerjordaa made a statement regarding sales on behalf of the maaage- ment of Al's Liquor Store. Richard Weeden, clerk at the liquor etore. a.nswered questions. After listening to the evidence, Councilman Ehrenberg made a motion� seconded by Councilman Heltzer, that the off eale liquor license of Al'e Liiquor Store be suepended for ten days starting November Z4, 1964 through December 3, 1964 iaclusive. Motioa passed by a six yea vote, Councilman Peareon was oot preseat. Peter Kosmas made a sta:tement on behalf of the liquor industry. The Council discussion included a closer check of I. D. cards by the iaduetry as a whole. On motion vf Cowncilrrian Thiel, secoaded by Councilrt�an Reynolds, the meeting wae adjourned at 5:35 p. m. , by a six yea vote.
