CALL TO ORDER A regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Kenneth Wolfe at 8:05 p. m. 2. INV�C.A.TI�N Invocation was given by Rev. Paul Obenauf of the Wooddale Lutheran Church. 3. MINUTES On motion of Councilman Thiel, seconded by Councilman Ehrenberg, the minutes of the regular meeting held October 5, 1964 were approved by a seven yea vote. 5. BOULEVARD TO 27TH STI�EET �DEFERRED FROM OCTOBER 5, 1964 ), Philip Steinberg was present representing the 2700 block on Alabama Avenue. He preaented a petition against parking restrictions on Alabama A.venue. M. L. Halvorsen, 2935 Alabama A.venue, suggested widening the street as a solution. B. L. Pearson, 2705 Alabama Avenue, agreed with this suggestion, Gene Sanford, 2854 Alabama A.venue� was against widening the street as it would mean tearing up curb and gutter already in his block. Councilman Ehrenberg suggested a meeting of the neighborhood, Council representatives,and City engineers on November 5, 1964 to work out a solution to the problem. A representative from the 2700 block, 2800 block, and 2900 block on Alabama Avenue will notify others residents as to tirrie and place of the meeting. It was moved by Councilman Ehrenberg, seconded by Councilman Heltzer, to defer the matter of parking on Alabama Avenue between 27th Street and Minnetonka Boulevard for one month. Motion passed by a seven yea vote. (cj COMMUNICATION FROM GENERAL REALTY COMPA.NY REGARDING PROPERTY IN 2900 BLOCK ON SUMTER AVENUE (DEFERRED FROM OCTOBER 5, 1964). Councilman Heltzer presented a petition from reaidents in the area against the proposed parking lot in the 2900 block on Sumter Avenu+e. Raymond Fosse, 2901 Sumter Avenue, was present representing the neighborhoode Joseph Bourdeaux, 2921 Sumter Avenue and Wm. Motion paeeed by a seven yea vote. 10. NE W B USINESS (a) PURCHASE OF A.NNUAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ROCK SALT. It wae moved by Councilman Howard, seconded by Councilman Pearaon, to accept bid of Cargill, Inc. in the amount of $11.25.00 per ton, and to authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute the contract in �ehalf of the City. Motion passed by a seven yea vote. 11. MLS C E L LANE OUS (a) CANCELLATION OF NOVEMBER 2, 1964 COUNCIL MEETING. It was moved by Councilman Heltzer, seconded by Councilman Howard, that the Council meeting of November 2, 1964 be cancelled. Motion passed by a seven yea vote. 12. CLAIMS, APPRUPRIATIONS AND CONTRACT PAYMENTS - (a) VERiFIED CLAIMS. On motion of Councilman Peareon, seconded by Councilman Ehrenberg, the lists of verified claime prepared by the Dire�tor of Finance and presented to the Council, dated 4ctober 26, 1964 in the total amounte of $1, 923. ?6 for payroll, and $27, 665. ?6 for vendors were approved, and the City Manager, City Clerk and City Treasurer were authorized to issue checks covering same, by a seven yea vote. (b� CONTRACT PAYMENTS. 1. Partial Payment No. 9. 2 nzillion gallon reservoir� Improve- ment No. 63-33C. Contractor, Magney Construction Compaay. Amount, $5, 808. 96.
