4 • MINUTES
On motion of Councilman Shank , seconded by Councilman Howard
the minutes of the special and regular meetings held June 24 ,
1963 , were approved by a five yea vote .
5 • PUBLIC HEARINGS
( a) IMPROVEMENT NO , 63 - 4 , SANITARY SEWER IN BROOK LANE FROM
BROOKSIDE AVENUE TO 200 FLET SOUTH , AS DESCnIBED IN NOTICE
OF HEARING PUBLISHED JUNE 20 AND JUNE 27 , 1963 .
President Pro tem Ehrenberg opened the hearing on this
matter .
The following persons were presont in favor ;

4300 Brook Lane . Mr . Schwartz stated that h .--1 also re -

A motion was made by Councilman Thiel , seconded by
Council 'i ,ian HAltzer to designate g � Business Furniture , Inc .
as the lowest responsible bidder , -to accept bid in the
amount of $1 , 7o2 , 70 for L - 1 L - 3 y

Section 3 , and to authorize the Mayor and City Manager
to execut : the necessary contract . Lotion passed by a
five yea vote .
A motion was mad ` by Councilman Shank , seconded by
Councilman Howard , to designate Farnham ' s as the lowest
responsible bidder , to accept bid in the amount of $ 2 , 997 . 9 '

passed by a five yea vote . ( and to authorize the Mayor & Ci-ty
(Manager to execute contract )
A motion was mads by Councilman Shank , seconded by
Councilman Howard , to designate Busino. ss Furniture , Inc .
as the lowest ri2esponsible bidder , to accept bid in -the
amount of $ 17 , 771 . 43 for Section 1 and Section 2 , except
C , 75 and to authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute
the n2c ` ssary contract . Motion passed by a five y -2a vote .
A motion was mad ` by Councilman Howard , seconded by
Councilman Shank , to designate Globe Office Furniture as
the lowest responsible bidder , to accept bid in the amount
of $ 2 , 625 . 00 for C - 7 of Section 2 andA to authorize the
Mayor and City Managar to execute the necessary contract .
Motion passad by a five yea vote .

Councilman Heltzer wonders if ai:utting property owners
should be notified when variance is request ,2d .
Councilman Heltzer suggast ` d that in the future where
a varianc is r2quested , bv a property owner, that abutting
property or-rnars within 150 fejt b ,e sent notice of the
proposed action befora the Council .
It was moved by Councilman Haltzor , seconded by
Councilman Thiel , that the matter rega �^ ding notices to
property owne -^s regarding va -riancas ba referred to the
Planning Commission for advice and recommenation . Motion
passed by a fiveyea vote .
