1 . CALL TO ORDER
A regular meeting of the City Council was called to order
by President Pro Tem Robert Ehrenberg at un p . m .
2 , INVOCATION
Invocation was given by Rev . Herman E . Soderberg of the
Lutheran Church of the Reformation .
3 . ROLL CALL
The following Councilmen were present at roll call :

James Heltzer
Frank Howard
Curtis Pearson
Robert Shank
Leonard Thiel
Also present were the City Manager , Supervisor of Zoning ,
Planning Director , Director of Public Works and the Secretary .
4 . MINUTES
On motion of Councilman Howard , seconded

the minutes of the regular meeting
held Board of Equalization meeting held June 255 1962 , were approved
by a six yea vote .
The City Manager introduced Richard Brooks the new Zoning
Supervisor ,

It was moved by Councilman Thiel , seconded by Councilman
Shank , to waiv ` reading and adopt Rsolution No . 2103 , as
amended deleting the word " Preliminary " and replacing it with
the word " Construction " , so as to read f1Resolution Approving
Construction Plans and Specifications for Improv; ment of a
Portion o Trunk Highway No . 7 within the Limits of St . Louis
Park " . Motion passed by a vote of five yeas and ono nay .
President Pro Tom Ehrenberg voting nay .
RESOLUTION NO , 2104
It was moved by Councilman Pearson , seconded by Council -
man Shank , to waive reading and adopt Resolution No . 2104 ,
entitled " Relative to Right - of -way Encroachments on Trunk

Pearson , yoas Councilman Shank , yea ; Councilman Thial , yea .
It was moved by Councilman Pearson , sacond ` d by Councilman
Shank , that action on this matter be deferred to July 23 , 1962 .
Motion passed by a six yea vote .
(b) RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS IMPROVEMENT NOS . 62 - 47 AND 62 - 48 .
RESOLUTION N0 . 2105
It was moved by Councilman Pearson , seconded by Councilman
Shank , to waive reading and adopt Resolution No . 2105 , entitled
" Resolution Approving Plans and Specifications and Authorizing
Advertisement for Bids " . Bids to be taken July 195 1962 .
Motion passed by a six yea vote .

Councilman Pearson requested that the minutes show that
it was called to the attention of the Planner the need for
employees parking and the Planner stated that he thought it
was not necessary ,
( d) RECOMMENDATION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION THAT THE SUBDIVISION
REGULATIONS BE AMENDED RELATIVE TO PROCEDURE FOR FILING , PRO -
CESSING , AND APPROVAL OF PRELIMINARY AND FINAL PLATS FOR THE
SUBDIVISION OF LANDS .
It was moved by Councilman Shank , soeond ` d by Councilman
Howard , to waive first reading of proposed ordinance and to
set date for second reading on July 23 , 1962 . Motion passed
by a six yea voto .
