Mr . Carlson statod that 24 hour pumping was needed
to keep water in check and suggested using an electric
pump .

which was passed by a vote of voting nay .
Councilman Thiel and Mayo
Henry Carney then discussed with the Council the
possibility of the City buying his building at Georgia &
26th Street for storage .

8 . (h ) REPORT OF THE CITY ATTORNEY ON URBAN RENE[.JAL PUTHORITY .
H . Burry , City Attorney , reported that the Reilly Tar
& Chemical Co . obtained Write of Certiorari with temporary
restraining order to prohibit the City from completing its
authorization of a Housing and Redevelopement authority
under Resolution No . 2003 .
The City Attorney moved to quash the grit which was
granted . Publication of Resolution No . 2003 and the filing
of it with the State is now in order ,

passed by a saven yea vote .
A discussion was had on the motion to waive lst reading
and set date for secondkeading April 30 , 1962 .
A motion was made by Councilman Shanlc , seconded by Council-
man Pearson , calling for the question . Motion passed by a
seven yea vote .
President Protem Ehrenberg called for the vote on the
motion and same lost by tha following roll call tote :

12 . CLAIMS , APPROPRIATIONS AND CONTRACT PAYMENTS
( a) VERIFIED CLAIM
On motion of Councilman Ehrenberg , seconded by Council -
man Pearson , the lists of verified claims prepared by the
Director of Finance and presented to the Council , in '- the
total amounts of $ p—for payroll , and
for vendors were a��0 6 , and the City Manaaer , City
Clerk , and City Treasurer were authorized to issue checks f14
covering same , by a roll call vote of seven yeas .
