LOUIS PARK , 15 ' 1962 January 1 , CALL TO ORDER • of the City Council was called to order A regular meetsn g by Mayor Kenneth �Jolfe at 8 : 03 p . m . 2 . INVOCATION Invocation was given by Rev . Robert E . Brunko of the Park Baptist Church . 3 . ROLL CALL The following Councilmen were present at roll call : Robert Ehrenberg James Heltzer Frank Howard Curtis Pearson Robert Shank Leonard Thiel Kenneth Wolfe Also present were the City Manager , Planning Director , Director of Public [Yorks and the Secretary . 4 . MINUTES On motion of Councilman Shank , seconded by Councilman Thiel , the minutes of the regular meeting held January 8 , 1962 , were approved as amended to read as follows : Item 10 ( c ) " I feel that we should act soon to repair broken drain file in this area " , Item 10 ( d) " It was requested that Astleford send the City Council a letter stating that this deal does not in any way effect the zoning of area " . Motion passed by a seven yea vote , 5 . PUBLIC HEARINGS (a) None , 6 . PETITIONS REOUESTS AND COMMUNICATIONS ( a ) None , 8 Council Minutes - January 15 , 1962 7 . RESOLUTIONS AND ORDINANCES ( a) None , 0 . REPORTS OF OFFICERS , BOARDS AND COMMITTEES ( a) None . 9 . UNFINISHED BUSINESS ( a) URBAN RENEWAL , It was moved by Councilman Thiel , seconded by Council - man Ehrenberg , that the Staff prepare proper resolution , for Council adoption , to start the project . Motion passed by a seven yea vote . (b) RECOMMENDATION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION CONCERNING HIGHWAY NO , 169 . Councilman Shank read a statement regarding this matter and then made the following motion : It was moved by Councilman Shank , seconded by Council - man Thiel , to defer action on this matter to January 29 , 1962 . Motion passed by a seven yea vote . ( c ) RECOMMENDATION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION CONCERNING HIGHWAY N0 , 12 . The following interested persons were present at the meeting : Wally Freeman , Jerry Murphy of Me Carthy ' s and A . C . Godard . A motinn was made by Councilman Ehrenberg , seconded by Councilman Shank , to approve the Preliminary Plan of State Highway 12 (Layout 11 - Copy #10 State T , H . NEW BUSINESS ( a) APPOINTMENT BY THE MAYOR OF CURTIS PEARSON AND FRANK HOWARD AS COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVES TO THE PLANNING COMM - SS IOtd FOR THE TERM ENDING DECEMBER 31 , 1962 , AND RE - APPOINTM...NT OF JACK CONLEE TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION FOR THE TERM ENDING DECEMBER 31 , 1964 . It was moved by Councilman Shank , seconded by Council - man Heltzer , to approve the above appointments . Motion passed by a six yea vote . (b) REAPPOINTMENT OF ELDON REMPFER TO THE POLICE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION FOR THE TERM ENDING OCTOBER 1 , 19647 AND RE - APPOINTMENT OF OVE GOODING TO THE POLICE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION FOR THE TERM ENDING OCTOBER 1 , 1963 . It was moved by Councilman Shank , seconded by Council - man Heltzer , to approve the above appointm ` nts . Motion passed by a six yea vote . ( c ) REAPPOT �?TMENT OF A . B .
