LOUIS PARK, MINNESOTA September 25, 1961 Mayor Wolfe called the second h Budget, to order at 4;59 p.m., w at roll call. Robert Ehrenberg D. C. Messer Curtis Pearson Kenneth Wolfe Council meeting, regarding 1962 the following Councilmen present Also present were City Manager, Director of -Finance, Assistant to the City Manager, James Blakeborough and the Secretary. Robert Shank and Leonard Thiel arrived at 5:10 p.m. MUNICIPAL PARKS It was moved by Councilman Messer, seconded by Councilman Ehrenberg, that the Municipal Parks Budget be approved as presented. Motion passed by a six yea vote. COMMUNITY CENTER It was moved by Councilman that the Community Center Budget by a six yea vote. HENNEPIN COUNTY PARK DISTRICT Pearson, seconded by Councilman Messer, be approved as presented. Motion passed Budget approved unanimously. PUBLIC ASSISTANCE AND WELFARE It was moved by Councilman Pearson, seconded by Councilman Ehrenberg, that contractual services be reduced to $10,000,00, mot ion passed by a six yea vote. It was moved by Councilman Pearson.,seconded that the Public Assistance and Welfare Budget be Motion passed by asix yea vote. MUNICIPAL LIBRARY by Councilman Shanl<, approved as amended. It was moved by Councilman Pearson seconded that the Municipal Library Budget be approved as passed by asix yea vote. 332 by Councilman Messer, presented. Motion C uocil Minutes - September 25, 1961 C an1zed Recreation It was moved by Councilman Shank seconded by Councilman Pearson that personal services -item 12 for Recreation 2��.00, Motion passed by a Six Leaders, be reduced to $21, Yea vote* It was moved by Councilman Thiel seconded by that the City Manager be directed to secure report Recreation . Before vote was taken a motion was made by Councilman Pearson soconded by Councilman Thiel, to further amend Or1ganized Recreation Dy increasing item 23b -mil, age, personal car to $1,100.00 and to dalet4tem 53- capital outlay. Motion lost by a vote of three yeas and four nays. Councilmen Ehrenberg, Jorvig, Messer and Mayor Wolfe voting nay. It was moved by Councilman Pearson, seconded by Councilman Ehrenberg, to reduce item 23a - travel conference school to $250.00. Motion passed by a seven yea vote . A call for vote on motion to approve Organized Recreation Budget as amended and same was passed by a vote of six yeas and one nay. Councilman Pearson voting nays Bgor Wolfe stepped out of the room and Councilman Jorvig took the chair. `MUNICIPAL BUILDING It was moved b Councilman Pearson, seconded by Councilman Messer, that the amount of revenue to be transfercd from General Fund to amici al d be reduced to $20, 000.00. Thiel, Motion Council Minutes - September 251 1961 DEBT SERVICE GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND) FUND It was moved by Councilman Pearson, seconded by Councilman Thiel, that the Debt Service (General Obligation Bond) Fund Budget was approved as presented. Motion passed by a seven yea vote. DEBT SERVICE I SPECIAL ASSESSMENT BONDS FUND The Debt Service (Special Assessment Bond) Fund Budget was approved as presented by unanimous assent. Meeting was adjounred at ATTEST: septi/Justap, secretary 7 p.m. until further call by Mayor. 334
