LOUIS PARK, MINNESOTL Novamber 201 1961 1 CALL TO ORDER A nagular meeting by Mayor K nneth Wolr 2• INVOCATION 3. 4. 5, 6. of the City Council was at 3 p.m. called to order Invocation was given by Rev. Wallace Geers of the St. Georges Episcopal Church. ROLL CALL The following Councilmen were present Robert Ehrenberg Torval Jorvig D. C. Messer Curtis Pearson Robert Shank Kenneth Wolfe Also present were the City Works, Planning Director and the MINUTES at roll call: Manager, Director of Public Secretary. UNFINISHED BUSINESS (a) CONS IDEW TION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PROPOSED PLAINS BY THE STATE HIGMVAY DEPARTMENT FOR HIGMJAY N0. 169, HIGHWAY NO. 7 AND HIGHWAY N0, 12. Present representing the State Highway Department were E. J. Me Cubray, Dean Wenger and Don Mac Fadden. Present in the audience speaking on the various pro- jects were: Hal Trumbl` of the Chamber of Commerce, Fred Lohman of Calhoun Realty Co., Curtis Anderson, 3431 Yosemite 11liv, nua s Eugene Railly, 3412 Aquila Avenue* L. P. Pederson, County Highway Engineer; Anton Yngve, 6105 W. 14th Street; Thomas Reiersgord, 2943 Boone Avenue; Ernest Jacobson, Belt Line Pay Dump; Ralph Olson, 3933 Xenwood Avenue. Dean Wenger gave a talk on highway needs and illustrated same with charts. Mr. Me Cubrey showed proposed plans of State Highway No. 7. RESOLUTION N0, 1947 It was moved by Councilman Ehrenberg, seconded by Councilman Shank, to adopt Resolution No, 1947, entitled "Resolution Approving Preliminary Plans and Specifications for Improvement of Trunk Highway No. 7 Within the Limits of St. Louis Park?. Motion passed by a six yea vote. Mr. Me Cubrey then shown d proposed plans for State Highway No. 12. It was moved by Councilman Pearson, seconded by Council- man Jorvig, that the proposed plans for State Highway No. 12, presented by Mr. Me Cubrey, be referred to the City Manager and Planning Commission for study and recommendation, Motion passed by a six yea vote. Mr. Me Cubrey showed proposed plans for State Highways No. 100 and No. 169. 410 Council Minutes - November 205 1961 g. The Chamber of Commerce proposed plans for Highway No. 169 iv,2re shown, RESOLUTION N0, 194o It was moved by Councilman Ehrenbergseconded by Council- man Shank, to adopt Resolution No. 194S,`ntitled 'Resolution Approving Preliminary Plans and Specifications for Improvement of Trunk Highways No. 100 and No. 169 within the Limits of St. Louis Park" . Motion passed by a six yea vote. (b) SELECTION OF ARCHITECT FOR THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING, It was man Shank, John Magny Building. 10. NEW BUSINESS moved by Councilman Pearson, seconded by Council - that the firm of Baker, Lang & Associates and be approved as Architects for the Municipal Motion passed by a six yea vote. (a) FORUM FOR Lf,WYERS ON COMPUTER USES It was moved by Councilman Shank, seconded by Councilman Ehrenberg, that H. H. Burry, City Attorney, be given authority to attend the Forum for Lawyers on Computer Uses at Los Angeles, California, December 14 through 16, 1961, with transportation expenses paid. Motion passed by a vote of five yeas and one nay. Councilman Pearson voting nay. (b) COMMUNICi'.TION TO MAYOR WOLFE FROM RUIL'iL HENNEPIN COUNTY NURSES COMMITTEE REGARDING NURSE FOR DR, FIFER'S STAFF, It was moved by Councilman Jorvig, seconded by Council- man Messer, that the communication be referred to the City manager for report.
