LOUIS PARK, MINNESOTA November 13, 1961 CALL TO ORDER A regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by President pro tem Torval Jorvig at 8:07 p.m. INVOCATION Invocation was Methodist Church. ROLL CALL given by Rev. Jay Anderson of the Aldersgate The following Councilmen were present at roll call: Torval Jorvig D. C. Messer Curtis Pearson Robert Shank Leonard Thiel Also present were the City Manager, City Attorney, Director of Public Works, Planning Director and the Secretary. On motion of Councilman Messer, seconded by the minutes of the regular meeting held November approved by a five yea vote. PUBLIC HEARINGS (a) None . PETITIONS, ESTS AND COMMUNICATIONS (a) APPLICATIONS FOR RENEWAL ON AND OFF SALE, FOR YEAR Councilman Shank, 61 1961, were OF INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSES ENDING DECEMBER 15, 1962. A motion was made by Councilman Thiel, seconded b Councilman Messer, to approve the issuance of the following licenses and acceptance of the bonds, subject to the approval of the State Liquor Control Commissioner of the off -sale licenses. It was moved by Councilman Thiel, seconded by Council- man Messer, that the above claim be referred to the Law Department for advice and recommendation. It was moved by Councilman Pearson, seconded by Council. man Messer, that this matter be referred to the City Manager and the Director of Public Works to make study and report to Council. CLAIMS, APPROPRIATIONS AND CONTRACT PIZYMENTS (a) VERIFIED CLAIMS On motion of Councilman Messer, seconded by Councilman Thiel, the lists of vorified claims prepared by the Diractor of Finance and presented to the Council, in the total amounts of $611.70 for payroll, and $311,692.52 f or vendors were approvad, and the City Manager, City Clark and City Treasurer were authorized to issue chaeks covering same, by a roll call vote of four y.as. Councilman Pearson abstained from voting.
