ROLL CALL The following Councilmen were present at roll call: Robert Ehrenberg Torval Jorvig D. C. Messer Curtis Pearson Robert Shank Leonard Thiel Kenneth Wolfe Also present were the City Manager, City Attorney, Director of Public Works, Planning Director and the Secretary. The following persons were present in opposition: Michael Gaughan, 2635 Kentucky Avenue; Ben Lazrus, 8005 W. 26th Street, representing the group on north side of R,R. tracks; Pat Lawless, 2836 Maryland Avenue; Mr. O'Donnell, 2821 Texas Avenue; Richard Loftus, 2900 Louisiana Avenue, representing Home Owners Association; Mrs. Clifford Selle, 2801 Quebec Avenue, who inquired as to permitted uses in B-3 District Attorney H. C. Davis, representing applicant, was present in favor of request. Mayor Wolfe declared the hearing closed. A motion was made by Councilman Shank, seconded by Councilman Messer, that action on this matter be deferred to October 23, 1961. Motion passed by the following roll call vote: Councilman Jorvi g, yea; Councilman Messer, yea; Councilman Pearson, nay; Councilman Shanlc, yea; Councilman Thiel, yea; Mayor Wolfe, nay. It was moved by Councilman Pearson, seconded by Council- man Jorvig, that the City Manager be instructed to contact State Highway Department and request a copy of the latest proposed plans for Highway No. 169. When received they are to be given to the Council Highway Committee for study and report to the City Council. Motion passed by a vote of six yeas . Councilman Thiel not present when vote was taken. 7.
