MINUTES OF CITY COUNCIL MEETING
ST. LOUIS PARK, MINNESOTA
November 24, 1959
1. CALL TO ORDER
The hearing on the proposed new zoning ordinance adjourned
November 23, 1959 to this date was called to order by Mayor Herbert
P. Lefler at 4 p.m.
3. ROLL CALL
The following Councilmen were present at roll call:
,Robert Ehrenberg
D. C. Messer
Ed. Owen
Kenneth Wblfe
Herbert P. Lefler
Also present were the City Manager, City Attorney, Planning
Consultant and the Secretary.
5. PUBLIC HEARINGS
(a) PROPOSED ZONING ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK (ADJOURNED
FROM NOVEMBER 23, 1959). PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS MEETING WAS TO
DISCUSS THE SECTIONS IN ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO SIGNS AND BILL-
BOARDS.
The following persons were present at the meeting:

Wm. Watts was the spokesman for the group, reading from a sheet
headed "Suggested Revisions to the Proposed St. Louis Park, Minnesota
Zoning Ordinance" covering specifically -
Section 6:042
Section 6.171 Subdivision 6 & 14
Section 6:171.5 " " 1, 2 & 4
Following this discussion the Mayor inquired if there were any
others who had expressed a desire to be heard on the proposed zoning
ordinance.

The City Manager stated that the gas station group had
contacted his office and he had requested that they submit some-
thing in writing. To date nothing has been received.
It was moved by Councilman Ehrenberg, seconded by Councilman
Owen, that the hearing on the proposed zoning ordinance be closed.
Motion passed by a five yea vote.
It was moved by Councilman Messer, seconded by Councilman
Wolfe, that a special meeting be called for Saturday, December
5, 1959, at 8 a.m. to disuuss the proposed zoning ordinance.
SALARIES FOR 1960
The City Manager called attention to the need of a meeting
to discuss salaries for 1960.
No action taken.
ADJOURNMENT
On motion of Councilman Messer, seconded by Councilman Wolfe,
the meeting was adjourned at 5:20 p.m. by a five yea vote.
