ADJOURNED MEETING APRIL 9. 1952
The adjourned meeting of Monday, April 7, 1952 was called to order by
Mayor Hurd at 7:45 P. M., with the following Council Members present at roll call:
Trustee Bolmgren
Trustee Middleton
Clerk Justad
Mayor Hurd
Also present was Village Attorney, E. T. Montgomery.
Approval of Securities for Citizens State Bank
On motion of Trustee Bolmgren; sedonded by Trustee Middleton, the following
securities were approved for depbsit with First National Bank of Minneapolis,
Minneapolis, Minnesota, by unanimous vote of all Members of the Council present:
Cons. Fed. Farm Loan Bonds - 21
due 11-1-54 - #912/26
15 @ $10,000.00 ----- $150,000.00.
Date Set for Board of Review
On motion of Trustee Bolmgren, seconded�by Trustee Middleton, July 15,
1952 at 9 A. M. to 4 P. M., at the -Village Hall, was set for meeting of Board of
Review (taxes), by unanimous vote of all Members of the Council present.
Purchase of Photo Copv Eauitfiment Authorized
On motion of Truttee Middleton, seconded by Trustee Bolmgren, the Clerk
was authorized to issue purchase order for 1 Peerless FI Printer, at $125.50, 1
Cylinder Electric Print Dryer at $39.50, and 1 Ready Tank Set at $45.00
(Total $210.00); to Industrial Photo Products Company, according to their speci-
fications and quotation on same, dated April 2, 1952. Motion was passed by
unanimous vote of all Members of the Council present.
License for Popcorn Truck Approved
On motion of Trustee Middleton; seconded by Trustee Bolmgren, the applica-
tion of Chester -C. Hyland, 3372 Yosemite Avenue, St. Louis Park, for a license
to operate a popcorn truck at large, was -approved; and the Mayor and Clerk were
instructed to issue license to -expire December 31, 1952, by unanimous vote of all
Members of the Council present.
Letter Re: Condition of Streets
A copy of letter to St. Louis Park Chamber of Commerce, dated April 7, 1952,
relative to the Ifterrible condition of the streets in general in St. Louis Parke
was read and ordered filed.
Bid Awarded for Motor Grader
On motion of Trustee Middleton; seconded by Trustee Bolmgren, the bid of
Rosholt Equipment Company received -April 7, 1952, for the furnishing of 1 Adams
motor grader was determined to be the lowest bid of a -responsible bidder, and
the Clerk was -directed to issue a purchase order for same at price bid of
$163664.003 by unanimous vote of all Members of the Council present.
Bid Awarded for Drazline
On motion of Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Clerk Justad, the bid of The
Mc Mullen Company for the furnishing of 1 New 2 Yard Capacity Dragline mounted on
crawlers, received April 7, 1952, was determined to be the best bid of a respon-
sible bidder, and the Clerk was directed -to -issue a purchase order for same at
price bid of'$12,300.00, by the -following roll call vote: Mayor Hurd, yea;
Clerk Justad, yea; Trustee Bolmgren, yea, Trustee Middleton, nay.
Bid Awarded for 1 New Three -ton Truck
On motion of Trustee Middleton, seconded by Trustee Bolmgren, the bid of
The Woodhead Company received April 7, 1952; for the furnishing of 1 New Three -
ton, 1952 Ford F-8-13511 truck, -was determined to be the -lowest bid of a responsible
bidder, and the Clerk was directed to issue a purchase order for same at price
bid of $3050.2$, by unanimous vote of all Members of the Council present, in-
cluding heater.
Bid 'Awarded for Sheepsfoot Roller Drum"
On motion of Trustee Middleton, seconded by Trustee Bolmgren, the bid of
Ruffridge-Johnson Company received April 7,-1952, for the furnishing of 1 new
sheepsfoot roller drum et. al. was determined to be the lowest bid of a responsible
bidder, and the Clerk was-directed'to issue a purchase order for same at price
bid of $$70.00, by unanimous vote of all Members of the Council present.

Bid Awarded for Sand Spreader
On motion of Trustee Middleton, seconded by Trustee"Bolmgren, the bid Md

of Ruffridge-Johnson Company received April"7, 1952, for -the furnishing'of 1
new sand spreader, chassis to -be furnished. by the Village, was -deemed to be
the lowest bid of a responsible bidder; and the Clerk was directed to issue a
purchase order for same -at price bid of $830.00, by unanimous voice of all
Members of the Council present.
Bid Awarded for Street Flusher Tank, Etc:
On motion of Trustee Middleton, seconded by Trustee Bolmgren, the bid of
Rosholt Equipment Company received April 7,-1952, for the furnishing of 1 new
street flusher -tank and pumping unit to be -mounted on three -ton truck furnished
by the Village, was deemed to be the lowest -bid -of a responsible bidder, and
the Clerk was directed to issue a purchase order for'same at price bid of
$2,436.00, by unanimous vote of all Members of the Council.
Bid Awarded for Dictaphone Set
On motion of Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Trustee Middleton, the bid of
The Dictaphone Corporation, received April 7, 1952, for the furnishing of a
Dictating and Transcribing Set was--deemed-to'be the best bid of a responsible
bidder, and the Mayor and Clerk were authorized to issue purchase order for
same, at price bid of $680.00, by unanimous vote of all Members of the Council
present.
Meeting Adjourned -
On motion of Trustee Bo]mgren, seconded by Clerk Justad; the meeting was
adjourned at 11:52 P. M. to reconvene at 1:OO-P."M:, Saturday, April 12, 1952,
by unanimous vote of all Members of the Council present.

The minutes -of meeting`s held March 17, 24,-29, and Apri1'7, 1952 were read.
On motion of Trustee Middleton, seconded by-Trustee-Jorvig, the minutes of above
mentioned meetings were approved as read, by unanimous vote of all Members of the
Council:
Donation to Hennepin County Fair -
The matter of a donation to the Hennepin County Fair was discussed. No
further action taken.
Report on Dumpin
Trustee Bolmgren read a report from Minnesota Board of Health on dumping
in slough, south of Cedar Lake Road near Zarthan Avenue. No action taken.
Garbage Disposal
The matter of using property at Hedberg -Fri edheim. pit for garbage disposal
was discussed. No action taken.
Bothmari Property Discussed - The matter of purchasing the Bothman
from Joppa to Ottawa Avenues was discussed.
property and re -grading West 28th Street
No action taken.
