Automatic Voting Machine Co. $1,247.00 Each On motion of Trustee Perkins, seconded by Trustee Bolmgren, the above bids were referred to the Clerk for tabulation and recommendation, by unanimous vote of Council Members present. Hearine on Proposed Water Main Extension As advertised�in the St. Louis Park Dispatch February 7 and 14, 1951, a hearing was had upon proposed extension of Village twelve -inch water main in Louisiana Avenue from the Great Northern Railway Right-of-19ay to Cedar Lake Road, -and in Cedar Lake Road from Louisiana Avenue to Dakota Avenue. No one appeared. 252 February 26, 1951 Resolution �+ On motion of Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Trustee Perkins, the follow- ing resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of Council Members present: RESOLUTION ORDERING EXTENSION OF WATER MAIN WHEREAS, the Village Council has met at the time and place specified in a notice published February 7 and 14, 1951, in the St. Louis Park Dispatch with respect to extension of Village water main at the location hereinafter specified and has held a public hearing thereon and determined the necessity fpr extension of said main, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of St. Louis Park Bart Carlone that 12 inch Village water main be extended in Louisiana Avenue from the Great 2. Northern Railway right-of-way to Cedar Lake Road and in Cedar Lake Road from 49,349.55 Louisiana Avenue to Dakota Avenue in accordance with plans and specifications De Graff Wolff for the same which have been prepared by the Village Engineer and which are 4. hereby approved. 48,522.27 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that advertisement for bids heretofore published Richard M. Ferron by the Village Clerk for construction of said water main be hereby ratified. 6. Sandstrom and Hafner 49,633.00 On motion of Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Trustee Perkins, the above bids were referred to the Village Engineer and Chairman of the Water Department Committee for tabulation and recommendation, by unanimous vote of Councilmen present. 1951 Licenses On motion of Trustee Perkins, seconded by Trustee Bolmgreri, the following applications for 1951 licenses were approved, and the Mayor and Clerk were authorized to issue licenses to expire December 31, 1951, by unanimous vote of Council Members present. Plant Electrical Farr Plumbing Company Plumbing February 26, 1951 Petition Opposing Sewer A petition signed by Mr. and Mrs. A.,E. Myers, 4378 Vernon Avenue and others, dated February 26, 1951, opposing proposed sewer line in the bed of Minnehaha Creek to run adjacent and contiguous to the residential property owned and occupied by the signers of said petition, was read. On motion o� Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Trustee Perkins, the above petition was referred to the Village Engineer and Chairman of the Sewer Committee for checking and recommendation, by unanimous vote of the Council. Continuation of Occupancy of Basement Dwelling On motion of Trustee Perkins, seconded by Trustee Bolmgren, the request of Robert A. Nelson, 8115 West 35th Street, St. Louis Park (Building Permit #5689) to continue occupying his basement dwelling at said address was approved and extended to July 1, 1951, by unanimous vote of Council Members present. Certificate of Insurance - St. Louis Park Theatre On motion of Trustee Perkins, seconded by Trustee Bolmgren, Certificate of Insurance for Comprehensive Liability Policy No. XP10491 - #20, with Pioneer Theatre Corporation, St. Louis Park Theatre, Etal, 4829 Minnetonka Boulevard, St. Louis Park named as the insured by the Fidelity and Casualty Company of New York as the :�nsuror, dated January 26, 1951,.covering the year 1951, in the amount of $201000 for each person; $1,000,000 for each accident, and $1,000,000 aggregate products, was approved and accepted by unanimous vote of Council Members present. Street Lights Ordered On motion of Trustee Perkins, seconded by Trustee Bolmgren, the Northern States Power Company were ordered to place street lights at the following loca- tions, by unanimous vote of the Council: Corner of 27th Street and Dakota Avenue Corner of 27th Street and Edgewood Avenue Petitions On motion of Trustee Perkins, seconded by Trustee Bolmgren, the following petitions were referred to the Village Engineer and Chairman of the Street Department Committee for dhecking and recommendation, by unanimous vote of the Council: P-718 PETITION FOR SIDEWALK, signed by Rose Segal, 2604 Lynn Avenue and others, dated January 25, 1951, for the construction of sidewalk on the WEST SIDE OF LYNN AVENUE BETWEEN 26TH STREET AND 27TH STREET. Petition Sanitary Sewer On motion of -Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Trustee Perkins, the following petition was referred to the Village Engineer and Chairman of the Sewer Depart- ment Committee for checking and recommendation, by unanimous vote of the Council: P-721 PETITION FOR SANITARY SEWER, signed by Henry Groebel, 6414 West Lake Street and others, dated February 23, 1951, for the construction of sanitary sewer in LAKE STREET FROM LOUISIANA AVENUE TO WOOD - DALE AVENUE. They were fearful of the danger to young children playing in the area. On motion of Trustee Perkins, seconded by Trustee Bolmgren, the Police Department and Village Engineer were instructed to check the danger mentioned and see that safety measures are taken. Motion was passed by unanimous vote of the Council. Parks for Northside A group representing the Eliot PTA appeared regarding parks for Northside -- north of the Great Northern Tracks and suggesting that Lots 1, 2, 6, 7, and, be acquired for this purpose. (Home Addition On motion of Trustee Jorvig, seconded by Trustee Perkins, the matter of acquiring Lots 1, 21 6, 7 and 8 in Home Addition for park purposes was re- ferred to the Committee of the Whole, by unanimous vote of the Council. Hearing Date Set for Water Main Extensions On motion of Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Trustee Perkins, March 26, 1951 was set as date for hearing on proposed water main extensions as follows: Project 51-4- West 36th Street from the West line of Lynn Avenue to the West line of Lot 1, Huntington Woods Addition. Project -51-17 Minikanda Park Addition to serve Lots 1, 2, 3, 5) 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11. Project 51-18 Yukon Avenue from West 34th Street, south a distance of 200 feet. Zinran Avenue from West 34th Street to West 35th Street. Aquila Avenue from West 34th Street to West 35th Street. Boone Ave. from West 34th Street South a distance of 300 feet. West 35th Street from Aquila Avenue to a point 128 feet east of the east side of Zinran Avenue. Adjacent property to be assessed. Motion was passed by unanimous vote of the Council.
