Tom Maple, Attorney Grossman and George Leightom, Assistant Chief Appraiser for Veterans Administration were present. Tom Maple said that they have been trying for six years to get a contractor to build a house that a Veteran earning X650.00 a week can pay for. A property owner from the East Side of Utah Avenue, across the street from the proposed houses was also present and claimed these houses would de- valuate his property.
