Jones Enterprises Pin Ball Machine Building Permit Approved for Two-family Dwelling On motion of Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Trustee Perkins, the Building Inspector was authorized to issue a building permit to Rodney Billman for the construction of a two-family dwelling on Lots 19 and 20, Block 206, Rearrange4ent of St. Louis Park (3286 Idaho Avenue which is zoned multiple dwelling with "C" Density), as per plans presented by Rodney Billman and hereby approved. Motion was passed by unanimous vote of the Council. Bid Awarded - Lift Station . The Village Engineer's tabulation of bids received February 20, 1950, for the construction of a Lift Station at Edgewood Avenue and Cambridge Street to serve Sanitary Sewer District No. 2-N, was read. On motion of Trustee Perkins, seconded by Trustee Bolmgren, the bid of Phelps-Drake Company, Incorporated, for the construction of aforementioned Lift Station, in the amount of $21,222.00, deemed to the the lowest bid of a responsible bidder, and the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Phelps-Drake Company, Inc. for the Village at price bid, by unanimous vote of the Council. Bid Awarded - Sanitary Sewer Extensions The Village Engineer' s tabulation of bids received February 20, 1950, for the construction of sanitary sewer extensions for Sanitary Sewer District No. 2-N, was read. On motion of Trustee Perkins, seconded by Trustee Bolmgren, the bid of Phelps-Drake Company, Incorporated, for the aforementioned sanitary sewer exten- sions, in the amount of $39,733.00, was deemed to be the lowest bid of a res- ponsible bidder, and the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Phelps-Drake Company, Inc. for the Village at price bid, by unani- mous vote of the Council. _ 330 February 27, 1950' Building Inspector's Report of Permits Issued Z-,:.,, The following Building Inspector's Report of Permits Issued for week of February 20, 1950 thru February 24, 1950 was read and ordered filed: 4 Dwellings $ 34,000.00 2 Apartment Buildings 150,000.00 1 Church Addition 12,000.00 $ 196,000.00 Resolution On motion of Trustee Perkins, seconded by Trustee Jorvig, the following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of the Council: RESOLUTION CANCELING OVERCHARGE IN- III LATERAL SEWER 2-F WHEREAS, it appears that by resolution of the Village Council adopted on October 3, 1949, levying assessments for Lateral Sewer 2-F, the following lots were inadvertantly assessed for 75 feet of frontage instead of 50 feet of front- age ---- • Lots 17 and 18, Block 8,. Rearrangement of St. Louis Park therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of St. Louis Park, that assessments heretofore levied against Lots 17 and 18, Block 8, Rearrange- ment of St. Louis Parkfor 75 ft. frontage, in the amount of $656.25 be reduced to the correct frontage of 50 ft., in the amount of $437.50, and that the Treasurer and Auditor of Hennepin County be thereby authorized to correct their respective records to read as follows: YEARS 1950 1951 1952 1953 1954 1955 1956 1957 1958 1959 62.85 63.42 61.23 59.05 56.85 54.68 52.49 50.31 48.12 45.94III Renewal - American City Magazine On motion of Trustee Jorvig, seconded by Trustee Perkins, the Clerk was instructed to issue a purchase order for the renewal of the AMERICAN CITY MAGAZINE for the twelve months ending March, 1951 at the Club rate of $2.00 per year for the following H. J. Bolmgren, Trustee; 0. M. Erickson, Mayor; Torval Jorvig, Trustee; Joseph Justad, Clerk; H. W. Perkins, Trustee and Ira M. Vraalstad, Water Superintendent. Motion was passed by unanimous vote of the Council. Plat Approved - Morning Park Addition On motion of Trustee Jorvig, seconded by Trustee Perkins, the plat of Morning Park Addition was approved, and the Mayor and Clerk authorized to. sign same for the Village, by unanimous vote of the Council. . Annual Re rt for 1949 The Annual Report for 1949 was presented to the Village Council by Clerk Justad. The matter of reproducing same was discussed, but no action taken. Land Purchase Authorized • On motion of Trustee Perkins, seconded by Trustee Bolmgren, the Village Nis. Attorney was instructed to prepare an application to reconvey to the State, Lots 3 to 13, inclusive, Block 175, Rearrangement of the Village of St. Louis Park; and to make the necessary arrangements to purchase same from the Land Commissioner, ,by unanimous vote of the Council. III Cesspools for Veterans Housing On motion of Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Trustee Perkins, the Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids for the construction of necessary additional cesspools to care for the Veterans Housing on West 37th Street, Bids to be opened on- March 20, 1950. Motion was passed by unanimous vote of the Council. Plans and Specifications for Sanitary Sewer On motion of Trustee Perkins, seconded by Trustee Jorvig, the Village Engineer was instructed to prepare plans and specifications for Sanitary Sewer in Quentin Avenue from 26th to 28th streets, by unanimous vote of the Council. Street Width and Church Parking On motion of Trustee Jorvig, seconddd by Trustee Bolmgren, the Village Engineer was requested to furnish data as to street width of Zarthan Avenue from Lake Street to Minnetonka Boulevard; and a remedy for Church parking.
