REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 18, 1950
A regular meeting of the Village Council was called to order by Mayor
Erickson at 8:40 P. M., with the following Council Members present at roll call
as follows:

On motion of Trustee Perkins, seconded by Trustee Jorvig, the following

La Mere Plat Approved
On motion of Trustee Perkins, seconded by Trustee Bolmgren, the plat of
La Mere Addition (Part of Lot 10, Auditor's Subdivision #350) was approved and
accepted; and the Mayor and Clerk were authorized to sign same for the Village,
subject to approval of the Village Attorney and Village Engineer. Motion was
passed by unanimous vote of Council Members present.
Building Inspector's Weekly Report
The Building Inspector's weekly report for week ending December 15, 1950,
showing that 27 building permits were issued, totaling $196,100.00. was read and
ordered filed.
Pavroll Checks, December 22-, 1950
On motion of Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Trustee Jorvig, the Mayor and
Clerk were authorized to issue Village Employees' December 31, 1950 salary checks
on December 22, 1950, so that they may be used for Christmas. Motion was passed
by unanimous vote of the Council.

dated December 15, 1950 in which he requested permission to continue living
in his basement dwelling'at said address for another year was read.
On motion of Trustee Bolmgren,•seconded by Trustee Perkins,,the request
of Stanley R. Werner, 3119 Alabama Avenue to continue living in his basement
dwelling was approved to July 1, 1951, by unanimous vote of Council Members
present. - -
Plat of Westwood Hills Grove Approved'
On motion of Trustee Perkins, seconded by Trustee Jorvig, the Plat of
Westwood Hills Grove was' approved, and the Mayor and Clerk were authorized -to
sign same upon the Village Attorney's approval, Motion was passed by unanimous
vote of the Council.

On motion of Trustee Perkins-, seconded by Trustee Jorvig, the following
resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of all members of the Council present:
RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION ADOPTED NOVEMBER 20,
1950, FOR ISSUANCE AND AWARD OF CERTIFICATES OF
INDEBTEDNESS FOR STREET CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE
EQUIPMENT
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of St. Louis Park
that that certain resolution for issuance and award of Certificates of Indebted-
ness for street construction and maintenance equipment, adopted by the Village
Council November 20, 1950, be hereby amended with respect to the clause thereof
providing for a tax levy, said clause being hereby amended to read as follows:
"BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there is hereby levied
upon all of the taxable property in the Village a direct
annual ad valorem -tax which shall be spread on the tax
rolls and collected with and as a part of other real and
personal property taxes of the ,Village in the y®ara
and amounts as follows:
1951 $72300.00
1952 62700.00
1953 , 61600.00
1954 7,500.00
Occupation of Basement Dwelling Continued
On motion of Trustee Jorvig, seconded by Trustee Perkins, the request of
M. W. Gaffer, 1837,'Idaho Avenue (Building Permit #6801) to continue occupying his
basement dwelling at said address was approved and extended to July 1, 1951,
by unanimous vote of the Council. -
ADeed Accepted
On motion of Trustee Perkins, seconded by Trustee Bolmgren, the deed from
Hyland Homes Company to the Village dedicating part of Lot 6, Auditors Sub-
division as the NEly 2 of Westwood Hills Drive was accepted and the Village
Attorney was instructed to file same with the Office of Register of Deeds, -by
unanimous vote of Council Members present. -
Water Main Construction Ordered
On motion of Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Trustee Perkins, the Village
Engineer was authorized to order Western Underground Construction Company to
proceed at once with the construction ok water main on Louisiana Avenue from 28th
Street to 26th Street; bt unanimous vote of the*Council.
Security Check for Grading and Giaveling
Streets in West Lynn Ordered Returned '
The Village Engineer reported that the streets in West Lynn Sub -division
were graded to their proper width and recommended that the check in possession
of the Village Treasurer be returned to Mr. Westling.

dated July 7, 1950, t in the amount- of $1,000.00 on deposit with the Village Treas-
urer to secure completion of grading and graveling of streets in West Lynn
Addition was ordered returned to•R.'J. Westling, by unanimous vote of Council
Members present except Trustee Perkins, not voting.

Mayor Erickson reported on his inspection of conditions at Lake Street
and'Texas Avenue. On motion of Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Trustee Jorvig,
on the recommendation of Mayor Erickson, One (1) STOP sign was ordered placed
on Lake Street at Texas Avenue; and Two (2) 5'Ton Load Limit signs were ordered
placed East of Texas Avenue on Lake Street, by unanimous vote of the Council.

The meeting was adjourned by Mayor Erickson at 10:12 P. M.
