On motion of Trustee Perkins, seconded by Trustee Bolmgren, the following
resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of the Council:
RESOLUTION REFUNDING ASSESSMENT FOR JOINT
• • DISTRICT SEWER NO. 2 ,. •
WHEREAS, it appreas that by resolution of the Village Council adopted
October 6, 1947, levying assessments for Joint District Sewer No. 2, that the
following described property was a part of a large tract of land, and in the
division of said property, the following described property was"charged for 3
full units, whereas it should have teen charged for only 1 unit.
The necessary corrections for the years 1949 and the balance of years of III
the assessment have been corrected at the County Auditors Office, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the 1948 installment of the overpayment be refunded
to John Sadleske, 2926 Pennsylvania Avenue, in the amount of $24.50 for that part
of the East 1/8 of the Southwest Quarter (SW4) of the Southwest Quarter (SW4)
lying North of the South 183 feet thereof, and South of the North 412 feet there-
of, Section 8, Township 117, Range 21.

Application for Off-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License
The application of L. R. Maxfield, 6126 West Lake Street, for a license
to sell intoxicating liquor Off-Sale at 3651 Joppa Avenue (Joppa Pharmacy) was
read. Inasmuch as the Council is not approving any more of these licenses at
this time, no action was taken. Application to be placed on file. "
Street Light Ordered
On motion of Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Trustee Perkins, on the recom-
mendation of Police Chief, Andy Nelson, the Northern States Power Company was
ordered to install a street light at intersection of Wooddale and Utica Avenues
(10,000 Lumen), by unanimous vote of the Council.

read and ordered filed.
Resolution
�! On-motion of Trustee Perkins, seconded by Trustee Jorvig, the following
resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of all members of the Council present:
RESOLUTION DESIGNATING DEPOSITORY FOR VILLAGE FUNDS
RESOLVED that the NORTHWESTERN NATIONAL BANK OF MINNEAPOLIS be hereby
' designated as a depository for the funds of this Village, not to exceed however,
$350,000.00 at any one time, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized to open or
continue an account or accounts with said Bank on such terms as have been re-
quired by said Bank heretofore, in the name of the Village, and to deposit, or
cause to be deposited in such account, any money, checks, drafts, orders, notes
or other instruments for the payment of money.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that checks, warrants, or other withdrawal orders issued
against the funds of this Village on deposit with said Bank shall be signed by
0. B. Erickson as Mayor; Joseph Justad as Village Clerk; and by Mildred H. Mel-
bourne as Village Treasurer.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that this notice shall continue in force until written
notice of its recision or modification has been received by said Bank.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that said Bank deposit with the Federal Reserve Bank of
Minneapolis as security for such deposit, such securities as may be approved by
the Village Council in the amount required by law. 1
Resolution
On motion of Trustee Jorvig, seconded by Trustee Bolmgren, the following
resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of all members of the Council present:
RESOLUTION DESIGNATING DEPOSITORY FOR VILLAGE FUNDS-
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of St. Louis Park
that the NORTHWESTERN NATIONAL BANK OF HOPKINS, MINNESOTA is hereby designated
as a depository for funds of the Village, and the Treasurer of the Village is
hereby directed to deposit in said Bank all receipts of the Village for licenses,
inspection fees, permits, fines, and such other funds as may be directed by the
Village Council, provided that the aggregate amount of said deposits with said
Depository Bank shall not exceed $75,000.00 at any one time, and provided further
that said Bank deposits with the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, for the
Treasurer of the Village, securities of such kind and- amount as to comply with
Mason's Minnesota Statutes, 1927, Section- 1973-1, and furnishes the Treasurer of
the Village with an assignment of said securities, as provided by said statute;
and-

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the withdrawals from said account shall be
upon the• written order of the Treasurer and countersigned by the Clerk.

• On motion of Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Trustee Perkins, the following
Holidays which fall on work days during 1950, were approved with pay for Village
Employees, by unanimous vote of the Council ----- -
New Year's Day, Lincoln's Birthday, Washington's Birthday,
Food Friday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day,
Columbus Day, Armistice Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas.

On motion of Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Trustee Jorvig, February 6,
1950 was set as date for hearing on acquisition and opening of Sumpter Avenue
across Lots 40 and 41, Block 291, Rearrangement of St. Louis Park; and West
27th Street .from Quentin to Raliegh Avenues, by unanimous vote of Council
Members present.
Letter Re: Great Northern Overhead Bridge
A letter from Hennepin County Highway Department, dated December 22, 1949,
was read, regarding the Great Northern Overhead Bridge on Louisiana Avenue; and
on motion of Trustee Bolmgren,, seconded by Trustee Jorvig,_the above letter was
referred to E. T. Montgomery, Village Attorney for checking and recommendation
as to financing the project for 1951. Motion was passed by unanimous vote of
Council Members present.
Yosemite Avenue Bus Stop
On motion of Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Trustee Jorvig, the bus stop
on Excelsior Boulevard at Yosemite Avenue was designated as a NEAR STOP, and
that the Twin City Rapid Transit Company be so advised. Motion was passed by
unanimous vote of Council Members present.
Open Cesspool at 9408 Frederick Ave.
On motion of Trustee Jorvig, seconded by Trustee Bolmgren, the Health
Department was instructed to investigate an open cesspool at 9408 Frederick Ave.
and correct same, by unanimous vote of Council Members present.
