Plumbing License Bond On motion of Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Trustee Perkins, the following bond was approved by unanimous vote of the Council: • PLUMBING LICENSE BOND with The Waterbury Company of Minneapolis, Minnesota as Principal, and Hartford Accident and In- demnity Company of Hartford Connecticut as surety, dated November 18, 1949, in- the • amount of $4,000.00. Permission Granted to Minor (James May) Mr. W. T. May, 4350 Brook Avenue, _St. Louis_Park requested permission for his son James May, a minor to work at Dairy Lane, operated by Eggerts, where they have a 3.2 Beer Off.Sale license. On motion of Trustee Perkins, seconded by Trustee Bolmgren, James May was gran ted permission to work at Dairy Lane Cafe, 5320 Excelsior Boulevard, by unanimous vote of the Council. Building Permits over $10,000. Protested Mr. D. J. C. Parsons appeared, protesting the Village's issuance of build- ing permits over $10,000. without the signature on the plans of a registered - Architect. He stated that the State law has a limit of $10,000 on Commercial Buildings. The matter was referred to the Village Attorney to bring in a - report. Permission to Employ a Minor On motion of Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Trustee Perkins, the request of Mrs. Marjorie Dale, 4217 Princeton Avenue, St. .Louis Park, dated December 1, 1949, for permission to allow her son Bruce_Dale (age 17) to work as a part time dishwasher at Dairy Lane, Excelsior Boulevard at Wooddale Avenue, where they have an Off-Sale 3.2. Beer License, was approved by unanimous vote of the Council. Permission to Employ a Minor - Donald Mattheisen On motion of Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Trustee Perkins, the request of Donald Mattheisen, 3940 Webster Avenue., dated December 3, 1949 (approved by his mother, Mrs. L. J. Mattheisen because he is a minor - age 17), .for per- mission to work at the Dairy Lane Cafe, 5320 Excelsior Boulevard, where they have a 3.2 Off-Sale Beer License, was approved by unanimous vote of Councilmen present. Draftsman Employed - Earl D. Jones On motion of Trustee .Bolmgren, seconded by Trustee Perkins, Earl D. Jones was employed as a draftsman in the Engineering Department for the month of December, 1949 at a wage -rate of $1.50 per hour, by unanimous vote of the Coun- cil Members present. Additional Heat for Street Department Building On motion of Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Trustee Perkins, the Street Commissioner's request for one more heating unit in the Street Department Bldg. at an estimated cost of $191.55 was approved by unanimous vote of the Council. Sewer and Water for Meadowbrook Manor On motion of Trustee Perkins, seconded by Trustee Bolmgren, the Clerk was instructed to write to the Donovan Construction Company that "Sewer and Water" are available and upon proper application, and upon payment of regular fees, these services will be furnished to the Meadowbrook Manor, Incorporated apartment project.
