ERKINS President pro tem, Village Council ATTEST: 7 JcSEPH i' STAD Villa:ff Clerk SPECIAL MEETING - MARCH 17, 1948 A special meeting of the Village Council was called to order by President pro tem Howard W. Perkins, to discuss sewer bids received Monday, March 8, 1948, and the request of the Frank Lundberg Post #282, American Legion to hold boxing exhibitions, subsequent to notifying the following --- Trustee Perkins, Trustee Jorvig, Trustee Bolmgren and Clerk Justad. The meeting was called to order at 4:30 P. M. and the following were present at roll call: • Trustee Bolmgren Clerk Justad Trustee Perkins Sewer Bids Rejected A letter from Orfei and Mariani, dated March 9, 1948, calling attention to an error in their bid of March 1st for construction of sanitary sewer in Ex- celsior Boulevard from Wooddale Avenue to Dakota Avenue was read. This error would increase their bid $7,923.30. Due to the fact that the Village Council could not accept this with the increase, it was moved by Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Clerk Justad that the bids received March 1, 1948 for sanitary sewer •---- construction in Excelsior Boulevard between Wooddale Avenue and Dakota Avenue were rejected except the bid of Orfei and Mariani, and the Clerk was authorised to readvertise for same, bids to be opened April 12, 1948. Motion was passed by unanimous vote of Council Members present. Boxing Exhibitions Approved On motion of Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Clerk Justad, the following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of Council Members present: RESOLUTION APPROVING BOXING EXHIBITIONS WHEREAS, the officers of the Frank H. Lundberg 'Post #282 of the American Legion have requested permission to hold boxing exhibitions in the Village of St. Louis Park, and WHEREAS, the same officers have informed the Village Council that the net proceeds from these boxing exhibitions are to go to the Heart Fund and other similar welfare projects, now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED.by the Village Council of the Village of St. Louis Park that permission is hereby granted to the Frank H. Lundberg Post #282, American Legion of St. Louis Park to hold boxing exhibitions in the Village of St. Louis Park, to hold boxing exhibitions in the Village of St. Louis Park, Minnesota. Meeting Adjourned . The meeting was adjourned by President pro tem, Howard W. Perkins at 4:50 P. M. HOWARD W.
