M., with the following Council Members present at roll call: Trustee Bolmgren Trustee Jorvig • Clerk Justad In the absence of President Erickson, it was moved by Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Clerk Justad, that Trustee Jorvig act as President of the Council for the meeting. Motion was passed by unanimous vote of Council Members present. Assistant Fire Chief Approved • On motion of Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Clerk Justad, the recommendation of the Fire Civil Service Commission, dated November 22, 1948, that Kurt Scheibe having passed the examination for the appointment of Assistant Fire Chief, be appointed as Second Assistant Fire Chief, was approved, and Kurt Scheibe was appointed to said position, by unanimous vote of Council Members present. Minutes The minutes of meeting held December 6, 1948 were read and approved as read. Village Employees Checks On motion of Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Clerk Justad, the President and Clerk were authorized to issue the Village Employees' December 31, 1948 salary checks on December 23, 1948, so that they may be used for Christmas. Motion was passed by unanimous vote of Council Members present. Licenses Approved On motion of Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Clerk Justad, the following applications for 1949 licenses were approved, and the President and Clerk are hereby authorized to_ issue licenses to expire December 31, 1949, by unanimous vote of Council Members present: ELECTRICAL , L. Garbage Assessment Canceled A letter dated December 1, 1948, from Mrs. Alvin Helgerson, stating that their home occupies Lots 3 and 4, Block 20, Park Manor Addition and they have been for garbage disposal on both lots; and requested that the charge of $7.92 for the year 1947 be canceled, was read. , . On motion of Clerk Justad, seconded by Trustee Bolmgren, the following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of Council Members present: RESOLUTION CANCELING GARBAGE COLLECTION ASSESSMENTS • BE IT,RESOLVED by the_Village Council of the Village of St. Louis Park that the following assessment levied pursuant to resolution adopted September 16, 1947, be hereby canceled for the reason that home occupies Lots 3 and 4 r 420 December 13, 1948 X Resolution Canceling Garbage Collection Assessment, Cont'd.
