SPECIAL MEETING - JUNES, 1947
The adjourned meeting of the Village Council of June 2, 1947 was called
to order by President Erickson at 7:40 P. M. with the following Councilmen
present at roll call:

Justice of Peace H. J. Kuhlman Resigns
The resignation of Heinrich J. Kuhlman, Justice of the Peace, dated June
5, 1947, because of change of residence, and effective immediately was read.
- On motion of Trustee Perkins, seconded by Trustee Jorvig•, the resignation
of Heinrich J. Kuhlman ac•:Justice of Peace was accepted by unanimous vote of
the Council.
Resolution
WHEREAS, Heinrich J. Kuhlman, a Justice of Peace of St. Louis Park, Minne-
sota since 1937 has moved his residence to Morningside, and
WHEREAS, due to the change of residence he has duly filed with the Village
Council his resignation from the office of Justice of Peace and the Village
Council has accepted same, now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the Village Council do hereby highly commend Heinrich
J. Kuhlman for the excellent service he has rendered the Village of St. Louis
Park during his terms as Justice of the Peace, and wish him success in his
future efforts.
On motion of Trustee Perkins, seconded by Trustee Jorvig, the foregoing
resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of the Council.
Appointment - Justice of Peace
The matter of appointment of Justice of Peace to fill the unexpired term
of Heinrich J. Kuhlman until December 31, 1948 was discussed. The name of
Matthew Levitt was proposed by Trustee Perkins and Trustee Bolmgren. Then the
name of N. W. Joubert was proposed.
On motion of Trustee Jorvig, seconded by Clerk Justad, Ned W. Joubert was
appointed to fill the unexpired term of Heinrich J. Kuhlman as Justice of Peace,
term to expire December 31, 1948, by the following roll call vote: Trustee
