M. with the following Councilmen present at roll call: Trustee Bolmgren _ Clerk Justad President Erickson - Verified Claims On motion of Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Clerk Justad, the following verified claims for Election Judges and Clerks based on 60¢ per hour and for Polling Places rental were approved-and the President and Clerk were authorized to issue warrants for same, by the following roll call vote: Trustee Bolmgren, - Yea; Clerk Justad, Yea; President Erickson, Yea. Absent; Trustee Perkins and Clerk Justad. In the absence of the Clerk, the Village Attorney, E. T. Montgomery acted as Clerk. Sewer Bids, District 1-N Bids for sewer construction in District 1-N were opened and read as follows: Phelps-Drake Company $4,535.00 " " " (Alternate 4,055.80 _ (Bid bond attached) On motion of Trustee Jorvig, seconded by Trustee Bolmgren, the above bid was referred to the Village Engineer and Sewer Committee for checking and recom- mendation by unanimous vote of Councilmen present. III r Pump House Bid Awarded On motion of Trustee Bolmgren, seconded by Trustee Jorvig, Mc Manis Cons- truction Company of St. Paul was determined the lowest responsible bidder for pump house construction for Well #4 at the base bid of $11,997.00 plus Alternate Bid A for $700.00, making the total bid, $12,697.00, and the President and Clerk were authorized to enter into a contract with Mc Manis Construction Company in behalf of the Village. Motion was passed by unanimous vote of Councilmen pres- ent. Hearing Date Set - Grading The hearing on grading of Ottawa Avenue from Morningside Road to Littel Street was continued to December 16, 1946. Hearing - Sidewalk Assessments Separate hearings were held on proposed assessments for each of the sidewalk 4
