2. Approval of minutes
a. Fire Civil Service Commission meeting minutes of April 28, 2025
i. No corrections or additions
ii. Minutes stand
3. New business
a. Approve eligibility roster for position of Assistant Fire Chief / EMS
i. Stuart to move to approve roster

2. Motion passes
a. Quorum
b. Meet with Pat Coleman – Community Engagement Coordinator
i. FCS was involved in this back in October 2024
1. Unique relationship with council
a. No workplan
2. Bob and Stuart spoke, and they do not need to go to council
a. They are okay skipping
Operate under state statute and do their own thing

a. Next meeting updated rules to include Battalion Chief and Inspector
b. Send FCS the two current contracts and org chart
5. Next Meeting – Bob prefers not to meet on Thursdays
a. Monday or Tuesday work best
b. Email the statute to the FCS about the open meeting law

FIRE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION ROSTER
The commission oversees the personnel system of the Fire Department including recruiting personnel,
testing, and selecting candidates and certification of eligible persons for appointment and promotion.
The commission meets as needed.
